Scribblings from the Mitchy Side

I bought a couple of pork loin steaks in the weekly shop. Pork is not my favourite meat, unless it's in a sausage, but it was cheap and I need to watch the pennies. In a bid to make it edible I create a sweet and sour type marinade of dark soy soy, olive oil, pepper and honey. I remembered NOT to overcook steak and to let it rest a while before eating.

It was DELICIOUS!!!

The marinade didn't really have time to work fully but it worked enough to give an idea of the flavour. So I've reused the marinade for the second steak and that's marinating overnight. I've looked up some recipes for apple sauce style accompaniments and found a couple of good recipes, so I think I'll give that a whirl tomorrow night. *rubs hands, cackles*

And now there's a furball curled up on my feet and golf to watch on the TV and I have tea. Life is good!
