Another early morning..
...well early for me. However, yet again, I failed to get to the doctors due to sleeping through my alarm for 20 minutes. *grumbles* I may as well wait until Friday now when I've got to get there for my flu jab anyway. I should, at least, put my repeat prescription request in today, though. which I shall do on my way to work. Although it's not "on my way", but you know what I mean :)
Had a classic email response yesterday which reminded me of the classic telephone call I had last week, and made me realise I needed to record them :)
The email:
Me: Oi! You haven't submitted your Quarterly Returns, you cretins, and you're now a MONTH late! Please get the reports into me by Friday. If you've sent them in the last two weeks, I've not received them so please can you send a copy ASAP! Thanking you! retards
Dimwit Headteacher, via reply: Please can you confirm you received the report I sent last week.

The Phone Call:-
A lady called with a query and wanted to speak to J, who was off last week. So I took her details and said I'd see who I could pass this onto, but it might have to wait until J's return on Monday.
"Oh, ok, but will you ring me to let me know you won't be ringing me?"

Bless :) I was very tempted when I did ring her back to tell her this was her phone call to let her know we would be ringing her :D
Talking of J, a thoroughly nice chap who's one of the senior finance bods in the office, I must record that he and his wife had a baby boy last week. This wouldn't be remarkable except that a) baby Chris is their fifth child. Fifth! Dear god! and b) it's the first boy :) Aww, he's SO chuffed, it's lovely to see :) Only thing is, as he said, they had to scramble about a bit, because they had no names picked out and no boy baby clothes! "Oh don't worry, 's bound to be another girl!" :D
