Scribblings from the Mitchy Side

1. I seem to suffer from permanent allergies. I have no idea what specifically I'm allergic to, although dust is a definite trigger. But I can wake up in the middle of the night and start sneezing. Bah.

2. If I'm reading a really good book (even one I've read before), I like to have food with it, either real food or snack food. This is a habit I really need to break, but if I'm reading a book and I'm enjoying it and I don't have something to munch on, it distracts me quite badly. I'm persevering with this :P

3. When I was a wee kiddywink, my high chair was foolishly left too near the sherry butter one Christmas Day. Mmmm. Apparently I was rather poorly after eating it all, but I still like Sherry Butter :D

4. I don't like wine much (it doesn't like me, either) but I adore champagne and treat myself to it now and again. *pats bottle she's saving for Christmas Day*

5. I love garlic and can eat it no problem, but the smell of it cooking gives me a headache.

6. If I could own any car at all, it would either be a Mustang or an Audi. I blame my Dad for this, he was crazy about 'em and infected me :)

7. I swore when I was young there were five things in the world I would see - The Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, the Pyramids, the Great Barrier Reef and Uluru (Ayers Rock). I've managed the first two, might get a shot at the two Aussie locations in 2007.

8. I'm really not good with heights, though as long as I'm indoors and/or well secured, I'm ok. i.e. flying isn't a problem but climbing up a steep ladder - eeek!

9. It wasn't discovered that I was totally deaf in my left ear until I was 7. I casually mentioned to Mum one day that I liked sleeping on my right side cos I couldn't hear anything. Next thing you know, I was the at the Royal Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital being seen by a specialist :P (Nerve deafness, apparently, almost certainly due to Mum contracting Rubella when she was 4 months pregnant)

10. lithium_doll gave me a plant last year. It's still alive. This is a record.
