I'm no longer homicidal......
This is good news. Whyfore the homicidal state? Well, flashback to Wednesday and snow. I was working in Dunstable. Snow starts coming down in bucket loads, I panic and leave early to drive home. And spend the next FOUR HOURS trying to get out of Luton. Total, utter, complete gridlock. I've never seen anything like it. And the silly thing is, the snow stopped after about an hour. Total depth? Not more than an inch and a half.
For this we come to a grinding halt.
ARGH!!
Once I was OUT of Luton it only took me another hour to actually get home. *thunks head*
I was not a happy mousey.
But I'm on day two of two days off and I now feel kind and benevolent again *grins*
Actually, for once, I was saved by the radio. I don't normally listen to the radio, I find it too easy to just tune out, but I was very, very bored, so scanned the airwaves and lucked onto BBC Three Counties Radio. The programme and the presenter, Ian Pearce, were absolutely excellent. They had calls from people all over the area in various traffic jams giving updates, they had an excellent section on the Hutton Inquiry that I actually listened to without wanting to pitch the radio out of the car, and the traffic bulletins and weather forecasts were spot on. I think they will become my radio station of choice if they continue to be this good :)
So yesterday was Day Off Number 1. Didn't do much, you'll be totally unsurprised to know. Did a lil' RP but mostly I watched LotR extras again. I do love those discs :)
Today is more of the same, except I got my new DVD through the post this morning - "Frankie and Johnny" with Pfeifer and Pacino. I love a good sappy film and the support cast in this movie is outstandingly good. So I've got that to curl up with today.
*peeks out* And the snow appears to be melting nicely. Exxcellent :)
