1) I've been awake since 6.30am. 4 hours sleep just about enough but still. 6.30am?!

2) I don't feel very well. Which might explain point 1. Got a very upset tummy and my asthma is informing me that I'd best get my new inhalers today or else.

3) I'm 'sposed to be at Dunstable today. This means three things. I won't be able to hide the sickie like I did for Saturday's day off, so I'll lose £50 off the salary. And it'll be the second time in 4 weeks I've bailed on Dunstable which isn't going to impress them much. Also 2 sickies in five days, both after days off is going to make people look at me suspiciously.

So. I have three options.

1) Grin and bear it and go to work

2) Bail out

3) Go in later and do a later shift (10am to 7pm).

*looks at time* Decision time.

*sighs*

Oh buggerit. Door number 1 wins.

ETA: Well I survived, just. Work went reasonably fast, which was nice. However, it was a day of nasty smells. Two maintenance types were at the store ripping out the old air conditioning and putting in a new one. Apparently the old one had been churning out Carbon Monoxide. Charming. So there was hammering and banging and then nasty smells as the system was brought online. Ick.

Also had a very close shave in the car at lunchtime. I made a right turn, only to hear the blast of a horn and see a car whizz by me in my rear view mirror, missing me by inches. I hadn't even seen him coming, though I coulda sworn I'd looked. :( Memo to self: driving on 3 and a half hours sleep means you need to be EXTRA CAREFUL, you dozy mouse. *shakes head in disgust* I was so cautious driving home, you wouldn't have believed it. So I'm glad to be back, all in all. But I'm glad I went in, because it was the right thing to do.
