Work has been...well, work :P I find that more and more I'm getting home and just vegging out online or in front of the TV with no inclination to do anything complicated like put my thoughts down in an LJ. Possibly I should start breaking my habit of not going to bed until gone midnight and getting more sleep. Or I could look for another job. Again :)
I am happier at the new store than I was at Stevenage. At least it's stretching me a little in that I'm the only admin there, so the responsibility for the office is on my shoulders. It's good for me, in that regard, it's made me sharpen up what I do in the office, get rid of a few of those bad habits.
The journey is still being annoying. I got called on the fact I rarely arrive before 9 by Dave, our regional blokey who's acting as the general manager of the store at the moment. I wasn't pleased because I do put the hours in at the end of the day and I don't claim every last second as overtime. But he has a point, I should be getting in a bit earlier. The problem is, if I leave before 8, I hit horrid, horrid traffic getting onto the M1. If I leave later, I hit horrid, horrid traffic getting OFF the M1. Bah! However, I spotted a shortcut I might be able to take to bypass some of the crap so I will try that next week.
If all else fails, I can go back to the other route, which is the A1(M)/A41/North Circular. It takes longer but it's more of a fixed time, if you see what I mean. I still hit the same problem at the end of the trip though, the horrid, horrid traffic at the Staples Corner roundabout. I can lose 10-15 mins there and I can actually SEE the ScS building from where I'm sitting fuming in the traffic jam. Very frustrating.
Today - I am a bit peevish and cranky. Forgot to set the video for the FA Cup Final. Not that I care who wins, but if Man Yoo lost, I wanted to watch it all in glorious detail. Had a day off sick last week because of my asthma and I've not been allowed to take it as a day's holiday. Which means the six day week I did a couple of weeks ago is now cancelled out so my pay packet isn't going to be half as nice as it was :(. And I'm just peevish cos it's that time of the month and I wanna be at home curled up under my duvet and snoozing.
Big RP scene tonight and I don't know if I'm gonna be able to last the pace *yawns* So I'm peevish about that, too :P
But overall, life is going ok :) Which is the main thing.
