I just went out for a short drive over to the doctor's surgery, to put in a repeat prescription for the ol' inhalers. It's a glorious day out there, in celebration of which I've now pulled back the curtains in my bedroom so that I can actually SEE the daylight. I'm so outdoors-y *snorks*
Coming back from the docs, I noticed a very nice Range Rover parked in the road that leads down to my flat. I noticed it because there was a very large arial slowly extending from the roof. Going up, and up and up! By the time I parked it must have been at least 10 foot up. Yes, indeed, the TV Licence Dodger Detectors are in town :) Haven't seen one of those vans for years, they've obviously gotten a bit higher tech. Gone is the spinning roof rack and now there's a high powered ariel and, doubtless, some laptop computer with nifty software.
Hope to gods he doesn't ask ME for my licence. I've got one and I could prove it, eventually, because I pay by direct debit, but I can't actually produce the physical bit of paper at the moment. The annoying thing is I saw it the other day too, but now can't recall where. I gotta get me a better filing system :P#
*comes back after a brief rummage* No, wasn't there, either. Oh well :)
And now for an afternoon of bone idleness in preparation for an evening in Cambridge full of food, booze and more bone idleness. Huzzah!
ETA: *giggles helplessly* Someone in the next block is moving and there's two large moving vans outside. The name of the moving company is "Delicate Movements" *ROTFL* My god, why would you want to call your company after something that sounds like it's to do with the state of your bowels and not your bowls? :D
