Goodness, a weekend all to myself, like a real person!! *faints with joy*
This morning was an exercise in frustration though. I got my car MoT'd and it passed first time, bless it's little wheels. But then I found I couldn't get the stupid thing taxed because my new insurance certificates haven't arrived and the notification letter about renewal coupled with the current insurance isn't sufficient *cries* It took an hour, two trips into town and £1.40 in parking fees to work this out. Bah! Anyway, I rang Direct Line and whinged and they're posting the docs out first class today for me. Tax runs out midnight Wednesday so if I get it first thing Thursday (next day off) I'll be ok. I was going to get a 12 month tax but think I'll get another six month one, so that next time I won't have this problem.
The rest of the day has been MUCH better :) It involved reading a good book, snoozing lots and now RP. And no work tomorrow! I may overdose on purring happily.
I just got a text from friend Rik wanting to know if I was up for a meal in London. Tonight. Gagh! Doesn't ANYONE do any forward planning these days!! Even if I wasn't RP-ing tonight, texting me at 7.30pm is leaving it rather late in the day. The earliest I could have got into London would be about nine o'clock! Sheesh :)
