Scribblings from the Mitchy Side

Time dragged so badly today that even my lunchbreak seemed endless. Luckily the last couple of hours weren't too bad because Christine and I ganged up on some recalcitrant customers and got the TBA file down to acceptable levels. (That's To Be Arranged. ie. the goods are in, the customer's gotta take them. Or so we say....)

Saturday was a good day, the YoE episode was great and it finished pretty early too, before 1am. I didn't do much, just pootled on the 'pooter and yelled at Sky until they agreed my digibox probably needs an engineer. However, I've just extended the warranty so I won't book the call out until the paperwork comes through. No point paying needlessly. Gotta get it sorted though because there's more and more channels that I can't get a reliable signal for and now it's interfering with my football watching. Gasp! The horror!! It's an unwise bit of gear that tries to get between me and my football :P

I also watched "The Bourne Identity" again. Still a damn good film. I may go back and see "The Bourne Supremecy" again, I loved it so much. Jason Bourne is a tiny god. It's just a shame the books are so flippin' dull because he's a great character.

Mmmm books. I'm getting the urge to re-read Eddings. Must feel like a mindless read or six :)

Just watched the Men's 200m Freestyle Olympic final. What a superb race!! Ian Thorpe won, beating the Dutchman by mere hundredths of a second. Phelps came in third. Best event of the games so far. Course, we got the rowing on Saturday, the three day eventing this week and our sailors are doing awfully well too. We may yet get more medals! Yay!! *waves her Union Jack*
