Scribblings from the Mitchy Side

Well, interesting in the sense I was still up and perky at 5.30am and able to say hi to lithium_doll as she scampered past on AIM :) Not sure if I need to blame tea or the mid-afternoon power nap for the lack of sleepiness but I didn't crash out until 9am. This was bad timing because the folks in the flat above mine picked today to do a major construction project in the room that's right above my bedroom. There aren't that many times I'm glad I'm hard of hearing, but this morning was one of them. Roll onto ear that works and blessed silence ensues. :)

I had two very weird dreams, cool ones though. In the first one, I had to finish off "Return of the King" because something had happened to Peter Jackson, and so I had to shoot a huge Urak-hai sequence at Helm's Deep. I can deduce two things from this: that I've watched waaaaaaaay too much LotR recently and that for a little while this morning, the construction project must have been right over my head.

The second one was a bit weirder and it's faded a little now, but it involved me needing to get away from somewhere fast and then paying someone to drive me back to my hidey hole, but in exchange I had to give them my rich grandmother's address, even though it would get me into almost as much trouble as staying where I was running from. I remember distinctly writing this address out and thinking "Gosh, it's a real address or it could be!" So I must have been on the verge of waking up :)

Of course, I'm sure my restlessness had nothing to do with the fact I have a job interview tomorrow and I'm a tad nervous. It's for a temp IT Support position for the Judge Institute of Management, which is part of Cambs Uni. In fact, it was my friend Julian, who works IT at the Uni, who put me forward for the post. So tomorrow, at 3pm, I go for what was described as a chat with the lady who's in charge. So fingers crossed for me, please, and oodles of good vibes!
