Scribblings from the Mitchy Side

I don't know whether I just got out of bed the wrong side or if it's everyone else but boy, there's a distinct lack of Christmas goodwill around online today. People log in to AIM/MSN, grunt at me, log off again. I get whined at or ignored in forums. Thank god for Rik and thalinoviel, I was quite getting ready to call off Christmas.

*streetches* What I need to do, while I'm really cranky, is go do some food shopping. I'm sure I'll feel lots better once I've rammed my trolley up a few ankles, mown down a few OAPs and "accidentally" dropped heavy tins onto the heads of crying brats.

So I was chatting to lithium_doll earlier and she mentioned she corresponds with another vidder (and LD fan) by email. It reminded me that back in the day, I was an industrious pen pal and enthusiastic letter writer. In this day and age, it's rare that letters are written and in a way, I think it's a shame. Looking hopefully at your inbox isn't quite the same thrill as seeing an envelope with a handwritten address lying on the doormat and knowing someone's taken the time to write to you. 's fun!

So with that in mind, and with my very limited readership, here's my idea. If you're willing to write a letter to me - it can be just a note on a card to say hi or it can be a screed about what you did over Christmas, I care not - comment here and I'll email you my address. I will reply to every letter I receive :) I'm not suggesting we all become penpals, but I think it would be fun to use good old fashioned pen and paper for a change.
