OK, what have I been up to.

Last Wednesday, Melanie came down from Cambridge and we went out to Pizza Express. There was much happy yakking and scoffing of food. I must say, the new Pizza Express white sauce base pizzas are very toothsome.

Saturday, Mike the ex-bf arrived from Leeds and there was a pub lunch and shopping (I didn't buy anything, I was good!), and watching of football before we went over to Cineworld in Stevenage. The plan was to get a meal on the Leisure Park before the film. Alas, every restaurant was stuffed to the gunnels and so we decided we weren't that hungry and would make do with popcorn (Mike) and chocolate buttons (me). So we went in to see Ocean's Twelve which I thoroughly enjoyed. Yes, it's very different from the first film. I can see why people felt it was messy. But I thought it worked by and large, though I wasn't keen on the whole Julia Roberts playing Julia Roberts thread. But it was a perfectly civilised way to spend a couple of hours so don't let the critics put you off.

Sunday we were going to go over to Cambridge, but a combination of a cold and an upset stomach left me clinging to the duvet, so Mike said goodbye and headed up by himself. He was going to stay over in Cambridge anyway, so it didn't change his plans. It was good to see him and we agreed we needed to see each other more than every two years or so. :)

Monday was spent keeping warm and fighting off cold. Today I cancelled my asthma clinic appointment on the grounds that while I'm much better, there's little point trying to prove I can breathe just fine and that my asthma's under control when I'm still very bunged up. Looks like I won't be able to get an appointment until mid-March but that's ok, it'll give me plenty of time to shift this pesky cold. Annoyingly, if the appointment had actually been when I mistakenly thought it was last week, I'd have been fine! Hmff!

Tonight I'm off to the Greenwich Theatre to see Kit and the Widow in "Tomfoolery", a musical tribute to the work of Tom Lehrer. Should be excellent fun :) A full report will be forthcoming.
