Let's see. Sunday afternoon I scampered over to
thalinoviel's house, lured by the promise of orange spice cake and tea. I'm so easy :) There I successfully managed to foil my attempt at suicide by choking on a fairy cake. *sigh* I got a crumb lodged at the back of my throat, alarming
thalinoviel by coughing and hacking for several minutes, before it finally buggered off in the right direction. Serves me right for attempting to inhale a cake without tea to wash it down. And the orange spice cake I munched when I recovered was gorgeous :)
I'm sure I did something yesterday, I just don't know what it was. Umm. RP-d a bit, I think, and watched a new episode of Cold Case. It was a sad one but the ones that focus on racial hate crimes, particularly from the '60's, always fill me with a hopeless rage.
Today I scampered out to the first showing of Miss Congeniality 2. Hush, I like Sandra Bullock, ok? I also enjoyed the first movie and was just in the mood for a frothy girly flick, which is exactly what it turned out to be. Mushier than the first one, but still perfectly watchable. Enrique Murciano (from Without A Trace) was adorable :) Mmmm. Yes, it's shallow but then so is the movie :D
Despite the fact the kids are still on holiday in Herts, most of the screaming hordes were there to see Valiant, Robots or Winnie the Pooh so it wasn't as hellish as it could have been. The kids who were in MG2 were extremely well behaved and there was only about 10 in all anyway. Two of whom were not accompanied by any adult that I could see which kind of made nonsense of the certificate rating. Though it's entirely possible the parent was sitting at the back, I suppose.
I treated myself to a KFC for lunch, as there's a KFC bang opposite the cinema. How tragic. How sad.
This afternoon was spent pootling on the 'pooter, plotting evil for my poor lil' mortal character and chatting to folks.
This evening, there was RP and an excellent scene with
therealsherbs. Our mortal characters have been frozen forever and it's been lots of fun playing them again. And there's football on the telly to watch. I'm happy :)
