Scribblings from the Mitchy Side

So Zoe from Brook Street rang late Wednesday afternoon. "Got a day's work for you at County Hall in Hertford!" "Yay!" I replied. Then she went on to say there was the chance of a two week gig, same place, but different department, was I interested? Silly question!

Anyway, during the afternoon, while I'm happily stuffing envelopes, Zoe at Brook Street phones and I've got the 2 week gig! Apparently, the lady in charge was worried cos I'd not been working since August, but I think both Zoe's gave me top marks so I'm in!!

AND to top it all off, when I was leaving, Environment Zoe said she'd definitely have me back if possible and was really pleased I was going to be around the building for a while longer :D Yay! Might be a source of work there. Good, because I really liked the people in the department and the work, while repetitive and boring-sounding, is JUST the sort of admin job I thrive on.

So go me! I have money coming in at the end of next week, not much but it'll just keep me above the overdraft maximum and two more weeks work! *dances* Breathing room and a lifeline. *kisses Brook Street Zoe*

On top of these good things, Aunty Eve, bless her heart, sent me a cheque for £50, because she knew my friend Mary is visiting next week and she wanted me to be able to go out and have a good time. Awwww!!! She's SUCH a sweetie. And it was a gift, so she won't let me repay it. I love her, I really do. It's so good to know she's there.

I'm having a good week. 'Bout time!!!
