Ye gods, I'm weary. That does it, the next time I have to take two flights to get home, I'm doing them on separate days.

The flights themselves were relatively painless and a good book made the waiting in between flights go by speedily. The second flight, the long hop from Chicago to London, was overbooked so I volunteered to go on the next flight. It was only a couple of hours later and they were offering vouchers as compensation, which sounded good to me. As it turned out, they managed to wangle all the seats they needed and so I caught the 8.20pm CST flight as planned. It went quickly, and I had reasonable people next to me which is always a bonus.

Got home via Tesco and Tesco's petrol station. I'd forgotten how hideous Tesco is on a Sunday. Ah well, all done. I have food, tea and the car is no longer in danger of running on fumes.

Now all I need is to see the furball and confirm he's ok and I'll be a happy mousey. I'm hoping he's just out and about somewhere but he doesn't usually go out in the day. Hope he comes back soon - knowing him, he'll check in around normal tea time :)

Furball's shown up :) Boy is he pissed with me! I got unhappy high pitched yowling by way of greeting. "YOU LEFT ME!! WHERE DID YOU GO!! GO 'WAY, NOT TALKING TO YOOOOOOOOU!" It's noticeable, however, that he's chosen to curl up near by where he can keep an eye on me. Heh. He'll forgive me by tomorrow night :)
