I return! From the hell that is Welwyn Garden City on a Saturday! Bearing a new jacket and matching trousers and very smart they are too! Hurrah!!

I will have to make do with one of my existing blouses though as I failed to find anything in my size. Dear gods, fashion manufacturers, is it TOO MUCH to ask that you produce plain, long sleeved blouses suitable for the work place in a size bigger than a 20? C'mon now! It's not that difficult!

Apparently M&S now do size 24, though their store didn't have any on display. I may browse their website though because they have some terrific stuff, exactly what I want. Actually, it's a good incentive, in addition to [livejournal.com profile] lithium_doll's encouragement, do make 2006 the year of the diet. Get down a couple of sizes and there's some terrific stuff available to me at prices that won't break the bank.

But anyway, for now, I am victorious! And will celebrate by eating pizza and drinking cider. On the grounds that it's not 2006 yet :D

1) Thatchers Gold Premium Somerset Cider 4.8% vol - this is gorgeous! Very crisp, not too dry, but not too sweet, the perfect medium! At 4.8% it doesn't pack the punch of some drier ciders and is thus perfect for a steady evening's sipping :) Mitchy Rating: 10/10

2) Thatchers Cox's Single Varietal Cider 3.4% vol - a pale cider, with a sweet taste that has a real bite to it. Avoids being vinegary or sour. Pleasant but not one for prolonged drinking, not for me anyway. Mitchy Rating 8/10
