"Gosh," I said to myself, not twenty minutes ago, "that's an awfully loud rattling noise. I know I have the washing machine on but I'm pretty sure the noise is nearer to me than the kitchen. Hrm! Let me use my limited audio direction sense to see where it's coming from...oh HEY! There's a mouse in the humane mousetrap!! Yay! The lil' squeaker has been safely caught!"

And here he is:-

Yes, yes, I have put food and water in with him - I'm a sap. I'm going to take him into the country in a few and release him :)

PartyGirl finishes working in the office next week (so does ShitStirrer but that's a whole special post) and has spent this week packing up her stuff. We have two plants in the office that live by her desk, that she mostly looks after. One is Ruby the poinsetta, the other is Fluffy the plant. Sadly, PG has no idea what sort of plant Fluffy actually is and as I'm now in charge of making sure Fluffy is looked after, I thought I should try and find out. A broad overview pic is here - don't be fooled by the red leaves, those belong to Ruby :)

This is a close up of the leaves.
And this is a close up of the roots

So, oh flist, anyone have a clue what I'm dealing with here? I can tell you, in addition, that Fluffy doesn't need or like a lot of water and doesn't like to be in direct sunlight. Or at least, he seems to do better in a shady spot. And we have, at least once, seen a white flower grow on a seperate shoot, looked a bit like a lily in shape. Only happened the once though. Any ideas?
