Yesterday was busy, with many, many forms of doom to be dealt with and not just the multicoloured ones. I was tired when I got in so I had a nap..which turned into a two hour power snooze. Sadly this meant I was still awake and not sleepy at 5am. *sighs* And like an idiot, I still attempted to grab some sleep. 3 hours just isn't enough, 4 is the bare minimum I need (and I think that's true of most humans). So consequently I didn't blunder out of bed until gone 9am. 9.45am I scampered into work and faceplanted into a mug of tea. Definitely not a high energy day :)
But it wasn't a particularly busy day either, I spent it poking Forms o'Doom queries with a sharp stick and trying to explain them to TouchyFeely, whose suddenly been informed that he'll be helping out with the NEG. Yeh. Two days before everything pretty much shuts down for summer. That's bright of them but about standard.
Tomorrow is Boxes o'Doom day - Foghorn has agreed that I can't be expected to clear our storage room in the loft by myself so she's going to give me a hand. For all her faults, I do credit her with not being afraid to get her hands dirty and really pitching in. Anyway, we have to shift out 124 archive boxes to give us enough room to deal with 64 boxes that need to be re-packed before being sent off-site. When it's all done, we should actually have room in the loft to put all the stuff from our office that we need to keep. Wow. I'm actually looking forward to seeing that loft almost empty :)
One bonus of the box shifting - we're allowed to wear casual clothing for the day. Gleee!
