01. Name a movie that you have seen more than 10 times:
The Little Mermaid, 101 Dalmatians, 28 Days (And of course, standard Xmas TV fare like The Sound of Music and The Great Escape get onto this list effortlessly)
02. Name a movie that you've seen multiple times in a theatre:
Toy Story (Saw that 4 times), The Mummy Returns and Dead Poet's Society I saw 3 times. The Sixth Sense I saw twice. All of these were movies I saw on my own and then dragged other people to see afterwards :)
03. Name an actor/actress that would make you more inclined to see a movie:
Angelina Jolie, Will Smith, Johnny Depp, Hugh Jackman, Matt Damon, George Clooney, Keira Knightly, Helen Mirren, Brad Pitt
04. Name an actor/actress that would make you less likely to see a movie:
Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, Jim Carey (Yeh, I know he can act but...), Tom Green
05. Name a movie that you can quote from:
There's loads! Two leap to mind - Toy Story ("That's not flying! That's falling with style!"), When Harry Met Sally ("You made a woman meow?!")
06. Name a movie musical that you know all the lyrics to all the songs:
Oooh! Oklahoma and The Sound of Music for sure. The Little Mermaid, obviously. Calamity Jane is an almost.
07. Name a movie that you have been known to sing along with:
The Little Mermaid - I love singing along to "Poor Unfortunate Souls" mostly :D And "Under the Sea" :)
08. Name a movie that you would recommend everyone see:
The Shawshank Redemption
09. Name a movie that you own:
Aww, c'mon. What' s the point of naming just one?! Rarest movie I own is a Mark Harmon/Jodie Foster movie called "Stealing Home". It's really good.
10. Name an actor/actress that launched his/her entertainment career in another medium but who has surprised you with his/her acting chops:
Madonna - I know, I know, her movie choices have generally sucked, but she was outstanding as Evita and her early acting stuff was pretty good. Will Smith - tough to remember now but he was a rapper first. One particular scene in an episode that I saw of "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" really blew me away and I knew he could act. His movie career seems to prove me correct :) The Rock - loved him to bits in The Mummy Returns, thought "The Scorpion King" was a wasted opportunity but he can act. Must check out "Walking Tall", I hear he was surprisingly good in that.
11. Have you ever seen a movie in a drive-in?
Sadly no, but am working on it.
12. Ever made out in a movie?
No! It would go along the lines of "Stoppit! I'm watching the film!" :P
13. Name a movie that you keep meaning to see but just haven't gotten around to it:
Mamma Mia - guess I'll wait for the DVD now :) And Madagascar 2. Must prod the Janey about that.....
14. Ever walked out of a movie?
No, but really, really shoulda walked out of Branagh's "Frankenstein". An awful, awful film.
15. Name a movie that made you cry in the theatre:
Aww, I'm a big sap, any feel good or sad movie will do this to me effortlessly! Lessee - "Sleepless in Seattle" and "Dead Poet's Society" were probably the two biggest offenders. Special mention for "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone", not because of the story, per se, but because it so beautifully brought to life the images I'd had in my head reading the book. The bit with the Hogwart Express chugging its way up to Scotland had me sniffling into my ice cream.
16. Popcorn?
Not usually. Occasionally ice cream or a hot dog.
17. How often do you go to the movies?
Depends a lot on what movies come out in a year. I've been four or five times this year, that's a lot for me.
18. What's the last movie you saw in the theatre?
Quantum of Solace.
19. What is your favourite/preferred genre of movie?
Hmm, prolly action/thriller movies.
20. What was the first movie you remember seeing in the theatre?
Snow White - apparently I got so scared by the witch, I had to be taken home :P I do remember hiding behind the seats :)
