Scribblings from the Mitchy Side

So halcyon_shift posted the happy news that TNT had asked for six more Leverage scripts. I've been stalking John Roger's blog all evening and he's just posted up confirmation. However, the six scripts aren't being tacked onto Season 1, they're a theoretical Season 2, IF the show gets picked up.

This is promising but it's not a done deal yet and we prolly won't know until May. But still. Eeeeee!! *crosses fingers and toeses*

In other TV fangirling, BSG starts the last part of its final season tonight. I honestly don't know if I can bare to watch. I may wait until it airs on Sky...or I might just wait for the DVD release. I really don't know if I can bare the nail biting tension. And I have a horrible feeling it will all end badly. So I suspect I'll wuss out, read the spoilers and catch up when the DVDs are released :)

I have a repeat prescription for my asthma inhalers and it's a doddle to organise, I either request a repeat online or post the repeat prescription to the surgery. They fill it out and pass it over to the Lloyds Pharmacy in Welwyn and I toddle over and pick it up. It works well because Lloyds is open until 6.30pm on a weekday and 1pm on a Saturday which is a lot easier to work around than surgery hours.

So cut to this morning when I dutifully toddle over to Welwyn to get my new inhaler (Seretide for those playing along). Now an asthma inhaler is not a large item, as I'm sure most of you know, so when the nice lady at Lloyds comes back with a very large box in her hands, I knew something was wrong. There was squeaking. We both look at my prescription and it's got a long list of items on it, like surgical swabs, dressings and bunch of other stuff that (I'm guessing) might have been what the District Nurse used when she visited after I got out of hospital. It does not, however, bear any resemblance to my usual prescription and, critically, there's no asthma inhalers on the list! Now the nice lady joins in the confused squeaking.

It takes about ten minutes and two further attempts at clarification but she finally finds both the prescription I put in last week plus one left over from November and yay! I now have inhalers! *clings* Both the pharmacy and myself are mildly baffled though because obviously the prescription I sent in to the surgery didn't have all the gubbins on it, just the regular stuff. I suspect Lloyds might be having a small word in the surgery's shell likes on Monday; I more than suspect I will be making a polite but firm phone call too, along the lines of "Get that crap off my repeat prescription!!"

Ah well, I've got what I need so all's well that ends well :) Now there will be tea! Hurrah!
