mitchy at 08:58am on 30/09/2009 under new york trip september 09*wavies* Hellooo! It's my last day in NYC and I head to JFK for my flight home in a few hours. I've had a fabulous week and will have to make sure I do a decent post holiday report so I've got a good record of what I got up to.
The only minor downside is I have a cold. However, as I've been ignoring the cold for five days and hoping it would go away and it's only just now being obnoxious, I'm thinking the timing is pretty good.
Today is going to be spent in my friend Mary's apartment (location of the The Second Comfiest Sofa In The World), using the internet and watching the last few episodes of Season 2 of The Big Bang Theory. That's the second show that woman has gotten me addicted to in a year (the last one was In Plain Sight). *shakeyfist* I've already ordered Season 1 from amazon so it should arrive before the weekend. Mary, it should be noted, is entirely unrepentant about her TV pushing ways.
I may venture out for food later and I'm going to get a couple of sarnies from the local deli to eat on the plane - they're really good, I'm a fan of US sandwiches anyway and it's a vast improvement on airline food. I was a smidge later getting through Heathrow on the way out and didn't have time to have a large breakfast like I usually do, so I was forced to have some food on the plane *shudders* Now I remember why I hate airline food. Memo to self, sandwiches are the way to go!
Should be home at Oh God Early tomorrow morning UK time. Thank goodness I have a few more days off so I can rest and recuperate! It's been a great break though, I've had a lot of fun :)
