Scribblings from the Mitchy Side

So far, so good :)

Got up at silly o'clock, because I was awake. Slurped tea, had a shower, then opened the parcel from halcyon_shift and doccy which I got ages ago and which I'd saved. Yes, I'm surprised I managed it too :) Worth the wait - series 3 and 4 of Foyle's War! Yay! Also opened jenni411's card - the pressie got stuck in customs,suspect that'll arrive Monday, darn it. Still, that means I can effortlessly make my birthday last the whole weekend! :D

Went out around 9, found the roads were ok (it snowed again last night!) and went to The Stanborough Grill where I inhaled cereal, toast, a large cooked breakfast, a pot of tea and a glass of orange juice. Ooog so full but worth it! Came back home wishing I'd taken the camera out with me because Welwyn Garden City looked like a Christmas card - all the trees were white and stood out against the blue sky. Beautiful :) However, far too cold to stand outside and admire it, much better looked at from the comfort of a warm sofa, with a mug of tea and a purring cat. Which is what 'm doing now :D

There has been blowing up of things in Red Alert and there might well be a nap in a bit, seeing as I was up so early. There won't be more tea for a while, I may have overindulged in the liquids this morning because I keep having to dash to the bathroom. Ahh the price of getting old! :D
