I don't have Sky Movies so I was attempting to follow the Oscars via online streaming. Not official and while the feeds were left alone for the early part of the show, after the half way mark, they were being shut down as fast as the Evil Overlords could find them. Bah. I managed to last until the award for Best Actor but when I lost the feed seconds before they announced who won, I gave up in disgust :P
So, I'm sorry for George Clooney, I was rooting for him to win, but I'm glad a non-American film got so much recognition. Yay for "The Artist!" I shall go watch it this week, it's still on at the Cineworld so I can use my Unlimited card :)
And WOO HOO for Meryl Streep! I haven't seen "The Iron Lady" yet but it will be a DVD purchase now. But I'm glad she finally broke the long run without a win.
Best acceptance speech that I saw had to be Christopher Plummer's. What a gentleman and what a good speech.
I got to bed at 5am :P
