OMG SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
*flails*
OK, I had NO IDEA where I'd be sitting, I knew my seat was in row AA but thought that was at the back of the stalls, after rows A-Z.
No.
IT WAS IN THE FREAKIN' FRONT ROW!!!
I was middle aisle seat, RIGHT NEXT TO THE STAGE! IDINA MENZEL WAS ALL OF 4FT AWAY FROM ME!!! ALL NIGHT!!!
*swoon*
*thud*
It was an amazing night. Some different songs in the set list from last year's show at the Royal Albert Hall, which was good. Two lovely songs - "At the Ballet" and "What I Did For Love" - were done as tribute to the much missed Marvin Hamlisch. There were some songs I need to identify because she kicked arse and took names with them but I wasn't familiar with either. One was a Joni Mitchell song, but I only know that because she told us. I'm sure a set list will surface online soon :)
She did "Take Me or Leave Me" and pulled up 3 people from the audience to duet with her on it. OMG! They were all amazing, absolutely brilliant! I think she was genuinely stunned.
We gave her at least 4 standing ovations and she deserved every one of 'em :)
Fantastic night that I'm going to remember for a very long time.
AND I WAS IN THE FRONT ROW!!! WOO HOO!
