*headdesk* (and a question for cookwitch)

I r so smart. I appear to have thrown out my English language copy of the instructions for my camera. *eyes lounge* Unless it's lurking somewhere obscure, I shall hunt again in a minute. *shakes head* Such a dim mousey!

In the meantime, cookwitch and any other camera savvy person - what am I doing wrong? I take 8 pics with my shiny new camera and the memory card says it's full! 8 pics take up 16mb of memory? They appear to be huge pics. Should I have upgraded to a better memory card or is there a setting or two I can tweak or something I should/should not be doing?
