Scribblings from the Mitchy Side

So after careful consideration of the time scales involved, and the fact it would cost me £80 to gain 3 hours of extra time, I've decided not to alter my flight time to the US on the 23rd. By heading straight to the city (very easy from JFK) and the hotel, I should still have a couple of hours down time before we have to leave for the gig. That couple of hours also gives us some leeway in case of flight delays. Serious flight delays will screw me over regardless of what time I leave anyway, so. However, I'm still pondering this and I may change my mind later. I'll see.

Re-sorting out the hotel was a pain in the arse but we got it done eventually. It worked out cheaper to cancel our original booking and go elsewhere - our original hotel costs would have been £400 more just for the one extra night (Weds to Sun instead of Fri to Mon), coming to over a £1000 for the 4 nights. No, sez I, I think I'll just pay the £15 penalty charge for cancellation. Which I did. And we've now got another hotel at a prime location for the extra cost we expected, but still less than a grand.

So I think we're all back on track now :) Huzzah! :)
