So I attended a Special Education Needs conference this morning, at the suggestion of FogHorn, for reasons I will discuss over the weekend. It was enlived by the following incident*:-

Conference: *important things being discussed*
Phone: *ring ring*
Conference: *important things being discussed*
Phone: *ring ring*
Conference: *frowns*
Phone: *RING RING*
Dozy Mitchy: Oh crap!! That's my phone! *dives for bag*
Bag: *hides phone*
Phone: *RING RING*
Mitchy: cottonpickin'snazzinfrazzinrazzinuselessdamnthing
Bag: *hides phone*
Mitchy: *upends bag*
Phone: *RING RING*
Caller ID: *doccy calling*
Mitchy: WHUT? But? Why..? EEEK! Maybe it's urgent! Maybe something's wrong! *visions of fire, flood, destruction, medical emergencies*
Mitchy: *hastily disconnects call*
Phone: *RING -urk!-*
Mitchy: *sends hasty text*
Mitchy: *scuttles out of hall*
Doccy's mobile: *stubbornly engaged*
Doccy's mobile: *subbornly engaged*
Doccy's mobile: *finally rings*
doccy: Hellooo!
Mitchy: You called?
doccy: Uhhh...no?
Doccy's mobile: heh heh heh
doccy: *is confused*
Mitchy: *is relieved*
Mitchy: *slinks back into conference hall*
Boss: *inquiring look*
Mitchy: 's fine, just a case of demonic possession of mobile.
Boss: ...

This is why I pick a phone that will play mp3 files as ringtones. For a while, I had "Still Alive" from the game Portal, but now I've got this one.

Oh good, I'm not the only one that kind of crap happens to. Mine frequently starts speaking to me while it's in my pocket. At the end of my contract, I'm going to smash it into tiny bits with quite a bit of satisfaction.
