Brief bit of actual content. Secondment is going splendidly, I'm very happy there. Furiously not thinking about having to return to old job. Rob the Furball has been a very poorly cat on and off since Christmas but now *touches wood lots* I think he's doing ok. Bless him, he's such a good natured cat, all the vets adored him :) Also one of his vets is called Rob and apparently the poor chap got a bit of stick about Rob the Vet looking after Rob the Furball :D
Right, enough content, silly meme time!
1. Make a list of 5 things that you can see without getting up: Camera, asthma inhaler, mug (empty, need to rectify that), stack of books and DVDs, headphones.
2. Cake or pie? Oh please, like 'm going to choose! Besides, it depends. If you offered me a choice between, say, fruit cake and apple pie, there is no way in the world I'd go for the fruit cake (vile things). But if it was some luscious chocolate cake verses, say, banoffee pie then the cake would win hands down. And if you offered me luscious chocolate cake or apple pie, I'd eat the apple pie and steal the cake for later :D
3. What's the last silly/most giggle-inducing thing you did? I know I made both myself and Jenni splort tea the other day, probably through a silly email comment, but I can't remember what it was :)
4. Latest obsession? Time Team - 4 on Demand have got ooodles of eps from the past few series and I've been working my way through them. WHEN YouTube co-operates, stupid thing.
5. What do you hear right now? Blissful silence apart from the tappity tap type of my keyboard :)
6. Who was the last person you hugged?
halcyon_shift and
doccy when visiting last month :)
7. What is/was for dinner? Probably a sandwich or a toasted sarnie of some description. I indulged in the mini-grill lunch at the work canteen today :D
8. What did you do yesterday? Got up, drooled over a mug of tea while waking up, walked to work, welcomed back LovelyBoss, beat up spreadsheets and/or customers, came home, snoozed, poked Facebook, sulked because Hawaii 5-0 was a repeat, watched a couple of Time Team eps, chatted to
jenni411 over AIM, showered, watched some silly YouTube stuff and then went to bed at a semi-sensible time (for me).
9. Dog person or cat person? Well I've nothing against dogs, might own one some day (*loud, idignant mewing from hallway*), but not just yet, she says hastily. I'm a cat person all the way!
10. What's the farthest you've ever traveled? West coast of the USA. Not sure which of Seattle or San Francisco is the furthest west but one of those :)
11. What was the last thing that you bought? Lunch at the canteen today. Yum :D
12. If you could afford to go anywhere in the world, where would you go? There'd be the Great World Tour.
jenni411 and I have been planning it for years, for when one of us wins the lottery. It's very extensive :D
13. Where do you see yourself in five years? Alive and well, hopefully :P
14. Favorite book? "My Enemy, My Ally", Diane Duane (or "A Wizard Abroad" by the same author).
15. What are you doing this weekend? Miiiight go to the football at Stevenage, aren't many home games left now. But I'd have to leave on the dot of 4.45pm to get home for England v. Ireland in the rugby :) And there really must be some sort of tidying/dusting/hoovering of the hall and lounge. Can't keep putting it off. In between there will doubtless be much loafing and napping :D
16. If you could play any musical instrument, which one would you play? Acoustic guitar. Or saxaphone.
17. Favorite colour? Blue.
18. What are you doing tomorrow? Working. Sulking because White Collar has finished so I won't have it to watch. Watching what might be Paget Brewster's last episode of "Criminal Minds", dammit, which is shaping up to be a humdinger. Poking Facebook and chatting to folkses on AIM :) In between fussing a furball, obviously.
19. What are you looking forward to the most? Right now, the Merry Month of May. Shaping up to be an excellent month. Going to New York for a week, we've got two bank holidays so there will be 2 short weeks, I'm finally getting to meet
annuala and I'm seeing David Tennant and Catherine Tate in "Much Ado About Nothing". Heeeeeeeeeee :D
