Phoned Human Resources this morning and they confirmed my suspicions. If I resigned yesterday, I finish on Saturday! Ahahahahaha! So the manager's machinations were all for nothing, he doesn't get me for seven straight days. *cackles some more*

And now I'd better scamper off to some job agencies :)
