The power of tea

Yesterday afternoon [livejournal.com profile] thalinoviel met me in WGC and we adjourned to the Cork and Cask pub, where we proceeded to drink, talk, drink, eat, drink, yak some more. Deary me, the last time I had that much alcohol was at a certain Silver Lining Party made famous by the quote "It tastes like I died!"

In the evening, we took the train up to Stevenage to go see Batman Begins (again for me, first time for [livejournal.com profile] thalinoviel. It's still great :) Then we attempted to get home. I was actually lucky in that it would see the last train to WGC actually goes at 11.12pm (stupid time!!) but last night it was very late so I didn't miss it. God knows what I'd have done if I had...prolly gone south to King's Cross and come back up: there were no buses I could catch either and a taxi would have cost the earth.

Unfortunately the late train meant that [livejournal.com profile] thalinoviel was unlikely to make the connections she needed to catch her last train home so in the end she came back with me and snoozed on my sofa. She didn't mind, she got to snaffle my copy of "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" to start reading. Which she did. Until 3.30am :D

Anyway, I'm surprisingly ok this morning, clearly the tea and water and paracetemol and the time I spent quietly sobering up before attempting to lie down did the trick. Luckily I don't have to be in work until 1.30pm :)

A List

This is a list of things I need to write about in my LJ before I forget. I will cross them off as I do them. Some of them will be backdated entries.

My weekend at Crime Scene
My review of Harry Potter
My review of "Mr & Mrs Smith" and "Sin City"
What's happening with work

*scampers off happily for more tea*

Dammit, I need to see Sin City. I loved "Mr and Mrs Smith" :)

Sin City is really good :) The black and white means they can have vast quantities of blood and it just looks like white paint. Some excellent performances and visually it's a treat! Go, at once :)

Sin City is just magnificent. Best thing I've seen this year; poor young Batman suffered by contrast.

Mr and Mrs Smith hasn't won me over via previews. I look forward to reading what you made of it.

Mr & Mrs Smith is worth seeing, definitely. I will post a review very soon :)

My opinions;

Sin City - like to see, looks like it has the violent funny :)
Mr & Mrs Smith - Hee! It has guns and pretty people. And more guns.
Batman Begins - Hoorah! Fighting and batmobile and Those Fabulous Toys.

I'm a simple creature really.
