I feel like crap today so I've called in sick. 's never a good sign when you need a hot water bottle but you've got the sweats so you can't actually bear the heat. *pouts*

I'm not sure if this is solely due to the problem I've posted about before (those of you on that filter will know what I mean), which decided to behave itself and is now sorting itself out by dint of coming out swinging, or if I'm coming down with something on top of that. Either way, the thought of sitting at a desk for 8 hours today wasn't one that filled me with any enthusiasm. I mean, if I'm going to sit around and be miserable, the smart thing is to do that at home.

I'm annoyed though, because I was scheduled to have lunch today with a friend from the previous job, Pauline, and I'll have to cancel that. Hopefully she can reschedule for Thursday or next week. Bah.

If anyone wants me, I'll either be snoring under the duvet, or playing silly 'pooter games by way of distraction.

*blinks* Now I know I'm not myself - I was just about to add "and slurping tea" to the above sentence when I realised that actually, I don't feel like any. Yikes! ;)

Relax! My tea tastebuds have woken up now. However, I'm sticking to water as I seem to be really thirsty. But I will have tea today, oh yes!
