Quiet week this week, for which I was eternally grateful. Still had paper mountains but with the break up of the schools for the Christmas break, the number of phone calls dwindled down to single figures, which made life MUCH easier.
BullyGirl was off work Monday so the office was very quiet indeed. *meow* Actually, poor woman has been valiantly battling a frozen shoulder/neck and has been walking around with her head at a peculiar angle for a while. The massage she had yesterday seems to have cured it completely though. (Suspicious? Who? Me?) For whatever reason, she's been really civil to me this week. We've actually had a good giggle on one or two occasions, which was great. Doubt it'll last but it's nice while it does.
Tuesday I did a load of shopping, mostly accidentally. I didn't plan to do the Christmas shop when I went in but ended up getting nearly all the bits and bobs anyway. The big stuff, for the actual meal on Christmas Day, I left, as I wanted to get that from Marks and Spencers.
This I did today, having finished all my work two hours ahead of schedule (memo to self: Self! Deduct 2 hours from your time sheet first week back to account for the fact you got paid until 4pm today and you left at 2!). So I belted into WGC and was rewarded by a semi-sane M&S where I got the chicken and veggies, and a practically empty Sainsbury's where I got cheese and sour cream and biscuits.
Now I'm done, done, done as you like, doneski! I may pop out tomorrow for a walk around - I still have a hankering for a new frying pan and a really good saucepan, but I may wait for the sales. Anything I haven't got now, food or drink wise, I'll have to do without!
And I have cider! Yay!!
Merry Christmas all! *toasts*
