'scuse while I gloat.
Now, I like PartyGirl, I do, but she can occasionally be annoying. Today was one of those days. She's run out of work so she decides this morning to deal with all the NEG forms herself and crisply informs me that if I need work today, I'll have to ask FogHorn. Which is fair enough, but she's not my line manager so what work I do when not working for her is none of her business. She then compounds this slight annoyance by commenting, loudly, while I was busy on what (to her) must have seemed a trivial task with "Didn't FogHorn have anything for you to do?" Again with the none of her business, y'know?
Anyway, TooTall overhead this comment and his face lit up with the realisation I was free to do a job. And he gave me a great job! It's a fantastic bit of statistical analysis of various aspects of the Nursery Education Grant. I'm not a statistician but I'm quite good at identifying patterns and collating data from different sources, so it's within my ability to do.
And PartyGirl would have given her eyeteeth to be doing that job! AHAHAHAHAHAH! But she'd stated she was doing the forms and didn't need me today. AHAHAHAHAHAHA!
So I got to do my work today to the soundtrack of PG gnawing on her own liver.
I am mean, I know, but it was a rare bright spot in a shitty week :)
(I should, in fairness, note that PG did show me a couple of nifty Excel things to help with the analysis, so fair do's)
