*twitches*

OK, I'm clearly more nervous about starting at this new store than I thought. I was dog tired last night but I couldn't get to sleep until gone 5am :( So now I'm tiredy and stressed and twitching.

I'll do the drive over to the store in a bit; once I've found it and know exactly where it is, I'll be fine, I think. One of the dreams I had last night was all about being in the car and driving in traffic and stuff. Didn't need a dream analyst for that one :)

I know I'll be fine once I'm there, I just hate the anticipation bit. I'm the same when I fly - I get restless, impatient to be gone, already. Particularly if I'm going somewhere I've not been before and I have to get myself from the airport to somewhere. That will be at the back of my mind the whole time. I want to get there and BE there and have it all sorted out already.

Oddly enough I don't usually twitch so much when travelling within the UK. I look at maps and trust I can blunder my way to wherever I need to be without a mishap. But the work thing is obviously a different kettle of fish :)

*twitches*

I'll be fine. I'll be over here clinging to a mug of tea if anyone wants me :)

Home from the hills is the hunter

Well, I've been to Staples Corner and found the store. Hideous nightmare of roads around there but I think I've worked out the best way to get onto the park. Course, I got hopelessly turned around coming back but thankfully I had my trusty A-Z with me so I just got orientated and got home no problems after that.

With all the switcheroos and wrong turns, it took me about an hour and a half to get there and back. I saw a bit of what it'll be like in rush hour and I reckon my estimate of an hour is a good one. And the good news is, it'll be a lot less than that in non-rush hours times.

I can definitely see [livejournal.com profile] thalinoviel finding a twitching Mitchy on her doorstep now and again though :)

Oh, I forgot to mention. At the moment I'm the only admin assigned to the store.....

Heh.

I'll have help for the first few days but then they'd better sort something out or I'm screwed.

*sniggers* No wonder I'm confused

My full real name and my real first name came up with "Great Turnip Farmer" and "a Fair Exterminator". Harrumph! Had better luck with the nickname though. And what the hell is a "Fair Exterminator"? Did I go around burning down fairgrounds or something? :)
