Wow, for once the weather forecasters got it right on the nose. *stares out at white landscape*

Nothing is getting me out there today, nothing. I don't care if it makes me the biggest wuss on the planet, I'm not driving in those conditions. Getting INTO work would be relatively ok - I've just taken a walk out to the end of my road and people are managing to slither along all right - but I'd be worried about getting home. The snow is packing, it's not going to rise above freezing all day and so come late this afternoon, what's fallen is going to freeze. No, no and further no.

'm gonna call in, have a cup of tea and go back to bed :P

(and maybe later I'll go out and make a snowman :D)

ETA: *gigglefits* Finally managed to get an answer at work. TooTall's the only guy that's made it in, and he has to catch a train down from Peterborough. Hope he can get home ok :P He says it's rather quiet at work.......

Questions from the ever wonderful [livejournal.com profile] lithium_doll:-
1. Would you rather be a famous singer, actress, writer or inventor and what, in your chosen field, would you want to be famous for?
Oooh. Argh. Umm. It's awfully tempting to say "Multi-award winning writer of crime novels, who's just sold the rights to her first novel to Hollywood in a multi-million pound deal" but actually I think being "Grammy award winning rock star, about to star in her first musical" would have to be the one :)
2. No hesitation, what the best book you own?
"The Right True End" by Stan Barstow. I don't know if it's the "best" in terms of literary worth (which is a tricky thing to judge anyway), but it's my favourite, right after the Diane Duane's I mentioned in my answer to Sherbs :)
3. Have you worked out the perfect murder yet?
I think the only perfect murder is one where you have no connection to the victim at all i.e. killing from range. Sadly, as I have no desire to go on a murderous sniping rampage, this theory will have to remain untested :)
4. If you had to give up all but one Xena season from the DVDs, which would you keep?
Hrm, this will need considering. One is good and I have a soft spot for two or three eps but overall? There's more weak eps than strong ones. Two has my very favourite episode "A Day in the Life" and several "Eps I've watched more than five times". Three has another very favourite episode ("Been There, Done That") but I hate the whole "Gabrielle is pregnant" thing. The latter half of that season is very strong though. 4 has some stunning episodes but I hate the direction it took the series. Five sucked and includes the Worst TV Episode EVER ("Married with Fishsticks"). Six also had some of the best episodes overall ("Who's Gurkhan", "You Are There", "Dangerous Prey" and "When Fates Collide", which really should have been the last episode shown, would have stopped a lot of fan wailing) but I hate the way they ended the show, although I didn't have the rabid fan poodle reaction of "OMGWTFBBQ! I WILL NEVER WATCH XENA AGAIN!!". Umm. Think I'm going to have to plump for 2 :) Wow, that was wordy!
5. Have you ever wanted a dog?
Yeh, I have actually, but as I said somewhere else recently, I've never had the lifestyle or the living space suitable for keeping a dog. If I ever get that house in the country, maybe :) I'd like a medium sized mutt, doesn't have to be a pure breed, just a cute pooch :)
