Scribblings from the Mitchy Side

Here's a pic of my consultant/surgeon chap, the very nice gentleman who oversaw my case and who's wife is one of the stoma nurses.

He really needed a better website name :P But it does what it says on the tin! Anyway, there's a pic, so you can see what he looks like :)

..I just took my garbage out to the external bins and then walked to the end of my road and back. Say a total distance of, umm, 1000 yards mebbe? Maybe 1500. *tries to guestimate it using American football pitches* I was planning to see if I could walk down to the shops (5 times that distance, easily). I stopped at the end of my road, noted that my legs felt like lead and I was puffing and slunk back to my flat.

Dear gods!

I know I was unfit BEFORE the op but seriously this is insane! So, daily walks, whatever the weather, whatever the distance, else I'm going to be going nowhere fast, literally!
