I have been so lazy this weekend. I've slept til gone noon, loafed, ate the wrong foods, loafed some more, lather, rinse, repeat. And enjoyed every minute of it :) Got the week from hell at work next week so I view it as hoarding energy.
Watched two football matches, both decent enough background noise, with the Newcastle/Spurs game actually dragging me off the compy and making me watch. Newcastle came back from being 2-1 down to win 3-2 and Martins scored a goal that rivalled the beauty Thierry Henry scored against Blackburn yesterday.
Now I'm watching American Football, Bears v. Eagles (it's a good game) and really looking forward to the Chargers v. Patriots later. Thankfully that should finish at a reasonable time so I won't be up too late. Memo to self - investigate taking the Monday after Superbowl Sunday off work.....
I used to be addicted to American football, now I hardly seem to watch it but recently I've been getting back into it. I think if I could find a package like I have with www.mlb.com that would let me choose the games I wanted to watch, I'd get right back into it again. I think concentration is a factor too. I've only made on NY resolution and it's too improve my concentration levels. Honestly, I start getting twitchy if something's been going on for longer than 5 minutes. Like I don't often just watch a football game any more, I have to be online. I'm sure it's the reason I'm not reading as much these days so I want to do something about it. I need to prise myself off the computer a bit more, too.
Anyway, I'm all set for the big game tonight, I've got hot dogs and crisps :) I always have hot dogs for the big games and for the Superbowl, I'll load up with things like loaded potato skins, southern fried chicken, onion rings etc as well as the hot dogs. I try and be American for those occasions. (Mental note: wonder if I can convince
jenni411 to have things like scones and clotted cream next F A Cup Final day?)

I am rooting for the Colts to win. I am glad they beat the Ravens--Steeler fans hate the Ravens and the Browns.
Too bad you can't watch the Superbowl with us! ;-)

I'll be with you in spirit! I usually stay up and watch it and take the next day off. Realised tonight that this SuperBowl will be the 21st I've stayed up to watch. Hee!

Of course, we would have loved the steelers to be in the playoffs but the quarterback played lousy (even though he had some team records) but too many sacks, too many health issues and Batch the backup should have been played more, plus the coach didn't seem to have his heart in it this year.
Wow, you have some track record with the superbowl--i have watched it for 10 years or so, but only in the past four years really understood what I was watching!!

I have no objection to that. :-)
Mmmm, scones....
