I love my Aunty Eve to bits but there are times when the urge to throttle her is somewhat overpowering.
I rang her this afternoon, because we always talk on a Sunday, and got no answer. This was about 3pm. OK, I think, she's probably visiting.

By 6pm, I'm fretting and biting my fingernails.
By 6.30pm, I've snapped like a twig and rung her friend Jo, who is my emergency contact along with her neighbours. I picked her on the off chance Eve was spending the evening with her.
She wasn't.
SHE'S BEEN IN HOSPITAL SINCE WEDNESDAY AND DIDN'T LET JO RING ME BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T WANT ME TO BE BOTHERED!!!
Bothered?!?
ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
*headdesks some more*
Apparently, there was a problem with her blood, she's had two blood transfusions BUT they think they've sorted it and she should be home tomorrow. Jo is going to ring me if she ISN'T released so that I will go down Tuesday to visit. If she is, I will ring Monday and use every bit of willpower I have not to yell at her.
Thank GOD she's ok.
*totters off for a strong cup of tea*

Last night, at a party, I was having this very discussion-a friend's father had a mild heart attack, and the family was discussing should they notify the brother who was on vacay? OY.

Hope she does better. She must think the world of you, and the last thing she wants is you worrying. Got to at least respect that some, as frustrating as it is. *Hugs.*

And yes, I respect that, but if it had been the other way around, I'd not hear the end of it forever :P

My god, this would have driven me crazy - much crazier than worrying about her actually being in hospital! Don't they get that it's much worse not to know?
Take care of yourself you know; worrying about Aunty Eve, plus throat plus work plus spider mafia...big hugs and recommendation of mighty beer for you!
