Egads, work kicked my arse today. The snag with my office is our workloads tend to go from 0 to 60 with no gentle lead in. Today was one of those days; I didn't leave work until 6.15 which is highly unusual. Two major deadlines meaning two mountains of forms for yours truly to process. I got one stack done and one is poised to be dealt with so maybe tomorrow I'll get caught up, IF I'm not swamped by tomorrow's post.
One amusing thing at work this week though was PartyGirl's birthday on Tuesday. She wanted some beauty treatments done by a girl who works in the Resources Office (and who I can't think of a clever nickname for) and that's what we got her. But BigBouncy faked up some vouchers for PartyGirl to open and read *starts to giggle* The first one was for a full Brazilian wax! Her face!! She really thought it was a genuine voucher *hoots* "But, but, I can't have that done, you'll see my bits!" she wailed to girl without a nickname yet. Cue hysterical laughter. She cottoned on by the time she opened the second voucher which was for a full length under arm plait with pink ribbons. Bless :) We also bought her a cd of party songs that she can rip to her shiny new iPod, which was her main present from her hubby and sons. And for her real beauty treatments, she's getting her nails and eyelashes done a week tomorrow, carefully timing it so she can come into work afterwards and show off :) She was thrilled to bits and practically sashayed out of the office at the end of the day, beaming like a spot lamp!
