OK, today didn't get better but on the plus side, it didn't get any worse, either. Still ridiculously busy though and will pretty much stay that way until we get the NEG forms sorted. We're under the cosh more than usual this deadline because we don't have a full week to process the forms and pay them (all 300 plus of 'em), we've got until 4pm on Thursday, after which the electronic system we use to make payments will be shut down for an "upgrade" (/cynicism). Our deadline for the return of the forms is Thursday, thus meaning we have to have everything done by 1pm at the latest to give us a fighting chance of getting them paid. Umm. Yeh. We know we're not gonna manage to get all of them done but we gotta try and do what we can. I suspect multiple cups of tea will be required.

However, I felt less snarly today, generally, so that helped. I suspect another early night may be in order, though :)

How's your week going, flist? Hope it's better than mine!

Me confused - how on earth can the powers that be think that they don't need you to work for them if you're all so busy!

*shakes head in despair*

If it was Friday, my week would be going quite well - as it's only Tuesday I'm way too tired to survive the rest of the week!

Because the powers that be are morons. It's the way of the world :)

Ooh too tired by Tuesday? That's not good! I'd recommend an early night with a book :) Oh and tea. Everything's better with tea :)

Hmm... I'm not actually sure how my week's going. Talk to me tomorrow after I've spent the entire day in the city because I have an interview at 9 AM and a ride that doesn't leave for home until 4.30 PM. :-p

Thanks. Unfortunately, I can't do the shifts because I don't have a car. :-p What I need is a job with regular hours. Wonder where I find one of those?

Six? Good grief, that's a lot to handle in one day. *makes you tea* What's the book? :)

Mary Lawson's The Other Side of the Bridge. Not a mystery, but a beautifully written novel.

I like having six in a day, but not five in a row, which how my day was set up, with one early on.
