Tor announce who will finish final Wheel of Time series

I have no idea if this will fill WoT fans with fear and dread as I have never heard of the author involved. But then I'm not really into sci-fi/fantasy fiction. Anyone on my flist have an opinion?

Nope, never heard of him either. Although if that will be the last book in the series, I might get around to re-reading the ones I have and catch up with the others. I got fed up of waiting for so long for the next book to come out that I'd forgotten what was going on in the one before :P

I trust Harriet to make a good decision about who shall finish the book, and since she will continue to edit, I trust the outcome will be just fine.

Never heard of him. Which doesn't mean anything, 'cause I don't read SF either. I *do* order the SF books @ work (go figure...), but it still doesn't mean anything.

Gods, I need more caffeine.

Oddly, I do know him. Brandon is another client of my lit agency--JABberwocky Lit of New York--and we've done a few bookish things together. He's a good writer, hard-working, and a genuine fan of Jordan's, but not a slavish imitator. I think he's actually a good choice for it--if it has to be done.
