Scribblings from the Mitchy Side

So you may recall I've been gleefully obsessing over Rent since Christmas, which has led to happy fangirling of Idina Menzel, which led to fangirling of other things like Wicked (the musical in which she originated the role of Elphaba. Go see it, it's amazing.) Err where was I? Oh yes, well all this led to me squeaking in hopes of getting a ticket to see Idina in Chess later this year which thanks to some lovely people (still unknown to me but I can guess) has been successfully organised *squees again. Just cos* Well further Chess casting news has been announced! *bounces* Adam Pascal, who originated the role of Roger in Rent on Broadway alongside Idina, will be playing the American, and Kerry Ellis, who succeeded Idina as Elphaba in the London production of Wicked, will be starring as Svetlana! This is just brilliant!!! *does the Happy Mitchy Boogie of Geeky Fangirly Glee*

This is going to be SUCH a good show!!
