This is STILL in the Guinness Book of Records as the biggest selling UK single by a female duet ever. *blinks* Woah. Another woah - given the close harmonies, it's astonishing to realise that the two ladies recorded their parts of the song at different times. They even filmed their segments of the video that accompanied the single separately. The only time they performed the song together was for Top of the Pops (which was almost certainly mimed).

In 9 days time, I will hear this duet performed by Idina Menzel (Florence) and Kerry Ellis (Svetlana). Both of these ladies have rocked the West End as Elphaba in Wicked. Can you imagine the two of them kicking this song's arse? My god! *starts to bounce all over again* 9 days! Nine more days!! Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

So, uh, both the women in the poster look vaguely familiar, but I keep getting distracted by the very eighties hair and make-up (ye gods, the blush!). Who are they?

Thank you! I *knew* I recognised the blonde one at least. I've seen Elaine Page in person. She played the title role in a touring production of Evita. I saw it in Eastbourne before the movie came out, and far preferred her version.
