So I was up at 8, went to the loo, made myself a cup of tea...and then had a Bag Crisis that occupied me for the next 45 mins (more details in the medical filter entry that I'm working on). After that, I more or less flopped on the sofa :P So I haven't showered yet but I'm working myself up to go and do that.
The District Nurse called in, to my surprise because I wasn't expecting her so soon. She was really cool about it though and is coming back tomorrow to look at the dressing that I still have over a small section of where I had the staples - the belly button area went a bit manky hence still having a dressing there. As it was looked at yesterday, she couldn't see the point of changing it again today, hence tomorrow's return visit.
So what have I done this morning? Started the long process of catching up on my TV shows. I've just watched the last two eps of Burn Notice, which were absolutely brilliant :) Bloody cliff hangers though, should be outlawed. I've downloaded Numb3rs and Cold Case because I'm only 1 ep behind on them, and I'm now downloading the two new season eps of Criminal Minds that have aired. Private Practice will be next, with Grey's and maybe The Unit. Then I'm going to have to work on the shows that have multiple eps - SGA, Bones and SCC. Re: SCC - I spent a brief while last night catching up on TV gossip and scuttlebutt is SCC might not make it beyond the 13 eps that have been asked for so far this season. Apparently the viewing figures are awful :( Shame, it's a good idea, but the uneven execution is costing them badly.
Not sure if I'm going to watch Without A Trace this go round. I may just relegate that to "shows to buy on DVD and mainline". Also have yet to bring myself to watch the season opener of Bones which I downloaded before going into hospital. Doesn't bode well for the Bones love :P Eh, I'll get all the other shows out of my system first and then sidle up to Bones, see what happens :)
Hey,
jebbypal, re The Unit, I've still not seen Season 2 but I'm not sure I want to wait before starting S3. Is there stuff I should know before diving into S3? I've read a few spoilers and it seems like S2 ended with a big story hook for this season? Something about everyone needing new IDs?? Care to enlighten me? :)
In other news, it would appear that my bed is knackered. The base has a bad break in the surface under the area that gets the most use, the left edge (only side I can get into and out of the bed) and as a result, I'm sleeping at an angle that's doing nothing good for my back. I slept ok until 4am but had to get up to go to the loo. Was so uncomfortable when I went back that I gave up and moved to the sofa, where I slept like a log. So I think I'll be sleeping there until I can get a friend to get me a board I can slide between the base and the mattress as a stop gap measure. Also need to get more pillows because I can only sleep on my back at the mo and I really need three good pillows for that. I tell you, I never thought I'd be spoilt by sleeping in a hospital bed, but I was. Not only are they fully adjustable, but I was on an air mattress which was fantastic. It was always plugged in and so periodically it would ripple and move under you, thus mildly adjusting your position and preventing pressure sores. So bloody comfortable! However, my home mattress is a very good one, so I figure if I can brace the base, I can turn the mattress and then with the extra pillow support, I should be all comfy again.
And now I must get my sorry ass under the shower. Or at least go and test the feasibility of me getting in and out of the shower. More spam later! :)

So...what is the solution to the wanky bed problem?

Glad to have you back :o)

So, yes, you have to watch s2. S2 was actually good. Then when you get to s3, I'll tell you the pertinent eps to watch (it was shortened because of the strike and had a couple of godawful eps). Then we can have you on s4.
