Hey
halcyon_shift and
jebbypal, Burn Notice has been picked up for a 16 ep 3rd season! Woot! *boogies like a Happy Mitchy*
And I have slightly encouraging news about SCC - apparently the studio has ordered two more scripts. Full season pick up it ain't but it might buy them some breathing room. Also, Richard Schiff (who played Toby in The West Wing) will be guest starring in an upcoming ep. Yay!
And I just watched Private Practice. I have to say, the strike really did that show a favour. It gave Shondra Rhimes time to figure out what the frak she was doing and she's taking the show in a whole new direction. It's sharper, edgier, there are serious ethical dilemmas with the medical cases and there's friction amongst the characters that's keeping things interesting. They've dumped the Pete/Addison storyline for now, which is a good thing, IMNSHO. The first two eps have been excellent and much more like what I was hoping to see the first time around. In fact, they've pretty much re-engineered the show. I have no idea how it's doing in the ratings, hope it's getting the viewing figures it deserves.
In other news, Season 2 of The Unit does, as everyone said, kicketh the arse. I've actually made myself stop watching it because I'm down to the last two DVDs already and I want to stretch it out a bit longer. S3 isn't being released until 20th Oct so I'm either going to have to download it and wing it without subtitles or wait patiently for 10 whole days......place your bets here on what will happen, folks! :P
