By "get religion", you mean, "Become actively involved in a Reform Synagogue, and thus more connected to his community"?

I like that they added a shadow of dimension to David's character.

It's an unecesary plot device, in my opinion, is all. It always leads to more moralising and preaching. I'm not saying religion is bad but I'd have been happier if I'd seen any sign that the family were in any way religious from the get go and I can't recall seeing that.

And yes, nice to see more of David's character. Took me a while to warm to him. I'm a big Colby fan :)

You can totally have Colby--I lay no claim to him. We'll see where they go with the synagogue. I think the last time I saw actual Jewish religion on a fictional TV series was in the 80s, and it was a children's show on PBS.

Yay! *cuddles Colby* And yes, if it's done well, it could be very interesting. I just hope it's done well.
