I was up early this morning especially so I could scamper down to the surgery to see my GP. I wasn't sure I needed to because she's signed me off but there are a couple of things I could ask her about while I was there so I figured, why not? Besides, I needed to drop off a repeat prescription. Got there, having been delayed by the need to scrape ice off my car *brrr*, to see the queue for the surgery was out the door. Gnnng. So I waited patiently to get to the counter and.....it turns out she isn't in all this week. *sighs* She has the wackiest schedule, she's never bloody there! Oh well, at least I dropped off my prescription, I can pick up asthma inhaler goodness tomorrow or Saturday morning.

*yawns* Meh. *kicks preferred bittorrent source* Give! Me! My! Cold! Case! Dammit! Why is it every other show I watch is always ready for download by 8am but the one show I am always jumping up and down for never surfaces until god knows when? It's a conspiracy, I tells ya!

Ah enough with the whining, I've got a mug of tea, a lovely hot pastry from my favourite bakery and an episode of The Unit to watch. Somehow I think I'll survive :)

How is everyone else this cold, frosty Monday? Hope you're all ok!

Hi. I am still on Vienna time, darn it! Got up 2 hours before I had to. Eh, this will change.

Did you hear that the officials admitted they blew the call when they took that last second TD score off the Steelers? Oh well, a win is a win, no matter what the margin.

Considering how poorly the Steelers played, I think a 17-10 scoreline would have flattered them :P Still, good for the officials to man up and say "We were wrong."

I understand your pain regarding your GP. For three attempts in two years to see mine, he was on holiday! (The plus side to that was that I was seen by the younger, cuter GP who looks after [livejournal.com profile] adelpha!) Today, he was in when I called at five minutes past opening time - just booked solid. :| He called me instead.

*nodsnods* I hear that. From January, my surgery is going appointment only, with only "emergency" or "urgent" cases being seen at set times. *shakes head* It's going to be bedlam. It can take 3 weeks to get an appointment NOW, never mind when it's the main way of seeing the doctor! I may switch surgeries, which would be a shame, I've been there a long time.
