Ooof!

Wow, that was one of the tastiest Christmas pub lunches I've ever had! The office had its Christmas dinner today, we went to a local-ish pub called The Three Horseshoes, chosen mostly because it was recommended by our wheelchair user as being a place she knows well that can cope with the chair and also does very good food. She wasn't wrong!

I had a deeee-licious country pate, with salad and a berry coulis, to start, followed by an exquisite loin of pork, done to perfection, with crunchy, perfect roast spuds, roast parsnips, carrots and sprouts (the latter the only thing I didn't eat!). Dessert was some lemony cream sponge thing that was equally delicious. I barely had room for my traditional post meal-out coffee!

We didn't waddle back to the office until 3pm, so I stayed until 5 to sort out the accumulated phone messages and post. I've only got one more day (Monday) and then I'm off: Foghorn okayed me to have Tuesday off, so hurrah!

*whimpers* Wow, suspect I'm going to be having a snack rather late tonight, I'm still not hungry! :D

ETA: Found the menu! Click here to go to the brewer's web page. The Christmas Fayre menu is what we had today, but check out the daily menu, it's really amazing!

ooh - it's near Stevenage! This means I could actually try it out.

Have you tried The Green Man at Offley? We hiked out there once, ate, and hiked back ... well, walked.
