The best Christmas tradition I've held over from when I was growing up was the Boxing Day "leftovers" lunch. Mountains of mashed spuds, roast spuds, bubble and squeak and all the cold meats a mousey could desire. Mmm-MMMM! And usually Mum did an apple pie for dessert.
So today, I duly inhaled mashed spuds, roast spuds, slice of beef en croute (verrry nice), slice of Applewood smoked ham (heavenly). slice of roast turkey with stuffing, pasta salads, bacon bits and left over homemade potato salad. Of course, when I say "slices" I mean "large enough to cover most of the plate on their own" :D
Oooof!!
I am so full but it was worth it AND I REGRET NOTHING!
And there's going to be apple crumble for dessert :D
There's very little on TV today but that's ok, there's Arsenal v. Aston Villa on Sky Sports in an hour and Mythbusters at 7. And then I have this shiny, shiny new Wanted DVD that will almost certainly get watched today. So I'm a happy mousey.
*yawns* And to wrap it all off, 'm gonna try this "going to bed before 4am" thing, just for practice. Hee!
