Rob the Furball

OK, I know he's a bit of an oddball cat, but now I'm a smidge worried. I just offered him a sliver of hot chicken - and he turned his nose up at it! Chicken! He LIKES chicken! *eyes him*

I'll try him with a piece of cheese later and if he doesn't take my fingers off in his bid to inhale it, 'm totally taking him to the vets next week :P

ETA: He ate the cheese with enthusiasm, but I think he's having problems chewing. Hopefully, I'll get funds in a couple of weeks and I can get him checked out. He's eating his dried food ok so I'm not too worried. :)

Wow, so my mom's cat isn't the only one who likes cheese!

No! He likes all cheese, including stilton, but his absolute favourite are those snack cheeses that come in tube shapes that you can peel apart? They're called Twisters over here, I have no idea if they're available in the US. They are, to date, the only food he will actively stalk me for :P

Yep, we have that over here. It's called string cheese. My mom's cat was partial to cheddar and yogurt before she swore off all people food except for roast beef from one particular fast food chain.

Could just be Standard Cat Being Weird About Diet - sometimes, they just get into moods about food. Still, if you reckon he's having problems chewing, probably best to get him checked out.

As to character-ish cats, particularly where diet is concerned, one of my cats was particularly partial to dried mango, of all things. So there's no accounting.
